Actor Parvin Dabas to be discharged in a week: Wife Preeti Jhangiani

Actor Preeti Jhangiani, wife of actor-director Parvin Dabas, has spoken for the first time since her husband was hospitalised after a car accident. Dabas met with the accident in Mumbai early Saturday morning, September 21. Updating about his health, she revealed that he would be out of the intensive care unit (ICU) soon and will be discharged in a week.
“It’s been a shock, and we’re still trying to process it emotionally. He’s usually very active and constantly talking about work, so seeing him bedridden has been difficult for the family,” Preeti Jhangiani told Hindustan Times in an interview.
She also added, “He hasn’t been able to talk much. Thankfully, his MRI and CT scan results were clear. He’ll remain in the hospital for another week and is expected to leave the ICU soon. We’ll do another CT scan in three days.”
Dabas suffered concussion, as per Jhangiani, and has been experiencing symptoms like dizziness, double vision, drowsiness, and nausea.
She described the accident as ‘bad luck’ and said that it was caised due to a flash of headlight. “He was driving early in the morning after working all night. A flash of headlights caused him to crash into the divider. Fortunately, he was near a hospital, and two boys brought him there,” The Mohabattein actor shared.
Jhangiani also clarified that Dabas was not drinking and driving, as confirmed by a toxicology test. “He wasn’t drinking and driving, which has been confirmed in the police report. Parvin is strongly against drinking and driving or breaking any rules,” she concluded.
Parvin Dabas is known for his work in films like Khosla Ka Ghosla, My Name is Khan, Monsoon Wedding, Ragini MMS 2, among others. He was last seen in Sharmajee Ki Beti, which streamed on Prime Video.
